The Problem: Lack of Food The lack of proper food and nutrition presents a huge problem in these refugee communities. During my visit, I encountered hungry children as I have never encountered before in my life in these refugee camps in eastern Cameroon. We have been informed by some of the refugees themselves, that the United Nations only provided each family with five kilograms of rice each month. Unfortunately, even this provision has been discontinued now and replaced with giving $10 to some families a month, and not all families are benefiting from this. Working opportunities for the families are very limited because they are not citizens, and therefore, unable to provide themselves with proper food for their families. The Solution We are suggesting that at least during this Holy Month of Ramadan we buy a few bags of rice and cows, and distribute it among the most vulnerable refugees. One 50 kilogram bag of rice can be given to each family or shared among two families based on the cash available. The need to help provide food for iftaar during this month of Ramadan to these Central African refugees “Africa’s Rohingyas” who are trapped in Eastern Cameroon is very Urgent and seriously important. We want to try to reach out to the most vulnerable, the most hungry among the refugees during this sacred month of Ramadan Inshaa’Allaah. The amount of money needed to sponsor this very noble and important project may seem high and expensive, however, the need to provide a small and simple dish for these vulnerable Muslims to break their fast during this month of Ramadan is without a price tag. Donate Now The Solution Rice for RamadaanThe cost of one bag of rice, wholesale price in the capital city of eastern Cameroon, Bertoua, is equal to $32/per bag.Cows for this Ramadan and EidOne cow = $700 10 cows a weekCows that will feed all six major refugee areas with more than 50,000 refugees.A whole month = 40 cows + Arafaat & Eid 6 cows = 46 cows total46 cows = $32,200 slaughtering + plastic bags = $45 (for each cow) for all cows = $2,070 TOTAL FOR CAMEROON = $34,270

Once the refugee dies, there's a lack of adequate cemeteries to rest their bodies.” The Problem Healthcare A fatal problem that the refugees are facing improper healthcare services. The refugees simply can not afford regular hospitals due to their lack of income and extreme poverty. Therefore, if someone is sick, he or she simply stays home and dies because they don't have access to medical attention. Cemetery Once the refugee dies, they face another challenge: the lack of adequate cemeteries. They cannot use other cemeteries designated for the local Cameroonians, either because it is a Christian cemetery or because it is not free, and they cannot afford it due to extreme poverty. Watch Video The Solution Clinics Medical care is a bigger problem. We suggest building a few clinics in several refugee housing areas. We have located a property in the city of Bertoua for sale Inshaa’Allaah. We would like to buy this property and use it to build the first clinic for refugees Inshaa’Allaah.Main Goal: Build seven clinics like this one. One clinic for each major refugee camp or village in Cameroon. Cemetery As far as the burial is concerned, we suggest buying empty property in every area for cemetery purposes. This plan has already been implemented in one refugee area in the city of Bertoua, in eastern Cameroon by a Muslim brother living in Iowa, USA. He bought a two-acre land to be used as a cemetery for the refugees living in the city of Bertoua, so the cemetery issue got sorted in that area.We need to do the same for Muslim refugees leaving in the Yokaduma refugee camp. There is a 5-acre land for sale that is not far from the camp. Donate “If a refugee gets sick, he or she simply stays home and dies because they don't have access to medical attention.
